What is Cyclizine
Cyclizine Tablets are an anti-sickness medicine used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness, vertigo, inner ear disorders, or post-operative recovery. Cyclizine belongs to a class of medicines known as antihistamines but works by affecting the balance centre in the brain to reduce the sensation of nausea and motion.
This treatment is commonly prescribed for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and above. It may also be used to treat sickness related to chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or general anaesthesia. Unlike some other anti-sickness medications, Cyclizine is non-drowsy for many people, though drowsiness may still occur.
Each tablet contains cyclizine hydrochloride and is typically taken up to three times daily depending on the condition and individual response. It begins to work within 30–60 minutes and can provide relief for several hours.
It is especially useful during travel and is commonly taken in advance to prevent motion-related symptoms. Always use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
