Description

Logynon Tablets are a combined oral contraceptive pill used to prevent pregnancy. Unlike standard monophasic pills, Logynon is triphasic, meaning the levels of hormones change at different stages of the cycle to more closely mimic the body’s natural hormonal fluctuations. It contains two synthetic hormones: ethinylestradiol (oestrogen) and levonorgestrel (progestogen), and is taken daily for 21 days followed by a 7-day break.

How It Works

Logynon prevents pregnancy through three complementary actions. It stops ovulation, preventing the release of an egg. It thickens cervical mucus to block sperm from reaching the uterus. And it alters the uterine lining, making it less likely for a fertilised egg to implant. These actions combined make Logynon over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy when used correctly.

The triphasic design means the hormone dosage changes three times throughout the cycle, which some women find easier to tolerate, particularly if they’ve experienced side effects on fixed-dose pills.

Why Choose Logynon Tablets

Logynon Tablets for contraception are a trusted, clinically proven method for daily hormonal birth control. The changing hormone levels may help reduce side effects like bloating or nausea in sensitive users. In addition to preventing pregnancy, Logynon may improve period regularity, reduce menstrual pain, and lessen heavy bleeding. The pill is discreet, convenient, and reversible, offering women full control over their reproductive health with the reassurance of decades of safe use.

Important Note

Logynon is not suitable for everyone. It may not be appropriate for women with a history of blood clots, liver conditions, hormone-sensitive cancers, or certain types of migraines. It does not protect against sexually transmitted infections. Store the tablets in a dry place below 25°C and keep out of reach of children. If you miss a pill, follow the instructions in the patient leaflet or speak with your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
