Description

How It Works

Zineryt Solution is a topical antibiotic preparation designed to treat moderate acne by targeting both bacterial overgrowth and skin inflammation. It contains two active ingredients: erythromycin, a macrolide antibiotic, and zinc acetate. Erythromycin works by inhibiting the protein synthesis of acne-causing bacteria (*Cutibacterium acnes*), thereby reducing their ability to grow and multiply. Zinc acetate enhances the penetration of erythromycin into the skin and contributes anti-inflammatory properties, helping to calm the skin and reduce redness.
This dual-action combination makes Zineryt an effective treatment for inflammatory acne, including papules and pustules, and can be used on areas like the face, chest, and back. It is particularly useful for patients who prefer a topical alternative to oral antibiotics.

Why Choose Zineryt Solution

Zineryt is a trusted prescription treatment recommended by dermatologists and GPs for managing moderate acne. Its unique formulation combines antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, allowing for targeted therapy with minimal systemic absorption.
Key benefits include:

Dual-action formula with erythromycin and zinc

Reduces bacteria, inflammation, and visible breakouts

Simple application with built-in applicator pad

Effective for use on large surface areas like the back or shoulders

May be suitable during pregnancy under medical guidance

Zineryt is often prescribed when other topical treatments like benzoyl peroxide or retinoids have caused irritation or have proven ineffective. Its mild alcohol-based formula helps dry active lesions while simultaneously preventing new breakouts.

Important Note

Zineryt must be reconstituted (mixed) before first use by combining the powder and solvent provided. Once mixed, the solution is stable for 8 weeks. Apply a thin film over the affected area twice daily using the inbuilt applicator. Do not apply to broken, sunburned, or sensitive skin. Avoid the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes. Wash hands after use. If excessive dryness or irritation develops, reduce application frequency or pause treatment temporarily. Always complete the prescribed course, and consult your GP if acne does not improve after 8 to 10 weeks of continuous use.
