Description

Scheriproct Ointment is a prescription-only treatment used to relieve the symptoms of internal and external haemorrhoids, as well as anal inflammation and fissures. It contains two active ingredients: prednisolone (a corticosteroid to reduce inflammation) and cinchocaine (a local anaesthetic to relieve pain and itching). This dual-action formula makes Scheriproct highly effective for soothing discomfort and accelerating the healing process in anorectal conditions.

How It Works

Scheriproct combines an anti-inflammatory steroid with a fast-acting local anaesthetic. Prednisolone reduces swelling, redness, and irritation by suppressing the local immune response. Cinchocaine works by blocking nerve signals at the site of application, providing immediate relief from itching, burning, and pain. When applied regularly as directed, this combination helps patients manage acute haemorrhoid flare-ups or fissure-related discomfort quickly and effectively.

Why Choose Scheriproct Ointment

Scheriproct Ointment for haemorrhoids is a trusted and targeted treatment backed by clinical use over many years. The combination of anti-inflammatory and anaesthetic components ensures rapid symptom relief while addressing the underlying irritation. It’s ideal for short-term treatment of both internal and external haemorrhoids and is suitable for patients experiencing moderate to severe discomfort.

The ointment formulation allows for easy application and deep penetration into the affected area. The inclusion of an applicator ensures hygienic internal use if required. Most users experience noticeable improvement in pain, swelling, and itching within a few days.

Important Note

Scheriproct should not be used for longer than 7 days unless instructed by a GP. Prolonged steroid use can lead to skin thinning. Avoid using on broken skin, fungal infections, or during pregnancy unless advised. Always clean the area before application and follow your healthcare provider’s instructions closely. Store below 25°C and keep out of reach of children.
