Description

Loceryl 5% Nail Lacquer is a topical antifungal treatment used for the management of onychomycosis—fungal infections of the nails. It is prescribed to patients whose infections are mild to moderate and not involving the nail matrix. Its convenient lacquer formulation makes it ideal for long-term therapy without the systemic side effects associated with oral antifungals.

How It Works
The active ingredient, amorolfine hydrochloride, inhibits sterol synthesis in the fungal cell membrane, leading to cell death. Once applied, Loceryl penetrates the nail plate and the nail bed, maintaining effective concentrations for several days. This allows the treatment to reach the site of infection even beneath the nail surface, preventing fungal growth and gradually clearing the infected area.

Why Choose Loceryl
Loceryl offers a non-invasive, topical solution for fungal nail infections that can be applied at home. The lacquer sets quickly, creating a protective film over the nail while delivering antifungal action beneath. It is particularly suitable for individuals who cannot tolerate oral antifungals or prefer to avoid systemic medication. With consistent use, Loceryl provides visible improvement in nail clarity and thickness over time.

Important Note
Loceryl treatment requires patience and persistence. It may take 6 months for fingernails and up to 12 months for toenails to fully recover. The infected nail must be regularly filed down, and proper hygiene is essential. Do not apply cosmetic nail polish or use artificial nails during treatment. If there is no improvement after 3 months, consult your doctor.
