Description

Almogran 12.5mg Tablets are a prescription treatment used to relieve acute migraine attacks in adults. It is suitable for use in patients experiencing migraine with or without aura. Almogran is designed to work quickly once symptoms begin, helping reduce pain and associated symptoms such as nausea and sensitivity to light and sound.

How It Works
Each Almogran tablet contains almotriptan, a selective serotonin receptor agonist, commonly known as a triptan. Migraines are thought to be caused by the widening of blood vessels in the brain. Almotriptan works by stimulating serotonin receptors, which results in the narrowing of these vessels and reduces the release of pain-causing neuropeptides. This helps relieve the headache and associated neurological symptoms quickly and effectively.

Why Choose Almogran
Almogran is a well-tolerated and fast-acting migraine relief option. It offers good bioavailability and a favourable side effect profile compared to some other triptans. The 12.5mg tablet formulation is convenient for on-the-go use and helps control symptoms early when taken at the onset of a migraine attack. Almogran is often recommended when other triptans are ineffective or poorly tolerated, making it a reliable second-line option.

Important Note
Almogran is not a preventative medication and should not be taken to avoid migraines. It is not suitable for individuals with cardiovascular disease, severe liver issues, or certain types of migraine such as hemiplegic or basilar migraine. Always follow your doctor’s instructions, and do not exceed the recommended dosage.
