What we test for
We offer a wide range of POCT screens. Your clinician will help you choose the most appropriate test(s) for your goals.
Vitamins & Nutrition
Vitamin D (25‑OH‑VD)
Checks your vitamin D status, which supports bone, muscle, and immune health. Helpful for low mood, fatigue, or limited sun exposure.
Diabetes Health
HbA1c
A 3‑month average of blood glucose control. Useful for diabetes screening, monitoring, and assessing risk.
Inflammation
hs‑CRP & CRP
Measures inflammation. hs‑CRP helps assess cardiovascular and low‑grade inflammatory risk; CRP can rise with infections and inflammatory conditions.
Fertility & Reproductive Health
hCG (pregnancy), Progesterone (Prog), Anti‑Müllerian Hormone (AMH)
- hCG: detects pregnancy.
- Progesterone: can help assess ovulation timing/support during fertility investigations.
- AMH: provides an indicator of ovarian reserve to support fertility planning.
Note: Some fertility tests may require a send‑out lab — see turnaround times below.
Rheumatology
Rheumatoid Factor (RF)
An antibody that can be associated with rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune conditions. Not diagnostic alone; results are interpreted in context.
Cholesterol & Heart Health
Cholesterol management panel
Typically includes Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL (direct or calculated), Triglycerides and Ratio. Supports cardiovascular risk assessment and lifestyle planning.
Iron Status
Ferritin
Assesses iron stores; helpful for symptoms such as tiredness, shortness of breath on exertion, or restless legs.

- Follow‑up — if needed, we can refer to your GP, recommend treatment, or book a review.

FAQs
Is POCT as accurate as lab testing?
POCT devices are validated and quality‑controlled. For complex or borderline results we may recommend a confirmatory lab test.
Do I need to fast for cholesterol?
Most modern lipid panels don’t require fasting. We’ll advise if a fasting sample would be more appropriate for you.
Can I use the results for my GP?
Yes. We can provide a summary you can share with your GP. Some tests (e.g., AMH, progesterone) are often done via a partner laboratory to align with GP/secondary‑care standards.
Will you diagnose or prescribe?
We provide testing and guidance. Diagnosis and prescribing are done within our clinical scope; otherwise, we’ll refer you appropriately.
